TRONTEQ, the specialist for Ethernet switches for public transport vehicles, has been certified according to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 standard by Intertek Certification GmbH and the German Accreditation Body (DAkkS) as of December 22, 2022. The standard certifies the company’s quality management.
Konstantinos Theiakos, Manager of Operations at TRONTEQ GmbH: “We have already equipped over 130 transport operators and system integrators worldwide with more than 35,000 Ethernet switches. Quality and customer satisfaction are TRONTEQ’s top priorities. We are all the more pleased to have now been officially audited and to have met the high standards of a renowned testing organization.”
To receive the ISO standard, TRONTEQ GmbH had to undergo an examination by Intertek Certification experts and DAkkS auditors. Each certification is always updated with annual audits. In this way, the testing institutes ensure that all quality standards are always met.
“Within the last year, we have entered many new markets. TRONTEQ’s Ethernet switches are now in use on all continents. Certification to the ISO 9001 standard shows every customer that they can rely on us for structured processes and high quality,” explains Konstantinos Theiakos.
The ISO 9001 standard is the most widely used quality management standard in the world. It defines the quality management requirements that companies must implement in order to meet the expectations of their stakeholders. ISO 9001 is based on the seven principles of quality management, including relationship management, fact-based decision making, and leadership and governance.
Effective quality management is characterized by clear objectives, measurable results, adequate resources and structured processes that must always be improved. It gives companies important competitive advantages, such as increasing customer satisfaction, opening new markets and improving processes. At the same time, the quality standard ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Thus, TRONTEQ customers can rely on optimal processes and consistently high standards.
