So, your vehicles are new and modern, but the equipment on board is bulky?! When it comes to tomorrow’s mobility, every ounce counts. So why load modern (e-)buses with bulky switches when you can do it in a nice compact way?
It’s Down to the Mechanics
Ethernet Switches are used and built for many different purposes and industries. Industrial devices must above all be robust and resistant – this is reflected in their size and weight. But when one of these switches rides in a modern, zero-emission city bus or streetcar from start to finish of operation, every ounce is critical to energy efficiency.
Public transport vehicles are equipped with specialized equipment. ROQSTAR Ethernet Switches are also designed solely and exclusively for use in buses and trains – with special consideration for the conditions of public transport vehicles.
That Compact is Robust
About as small as an iPad mini, TRONTEQ’s ROQSTAR switches offer full functionality in the smallest of spaces. The die-cast aluminum housing is extremely rugged, fireproof and able to withstand shock and vibration. The same applies to the M12 connectors recommended by the ITxPT. Our ROQSTARs are also energy-efficient lightweights: weighing in at around 50% less than other comparable models, they place twice as much of a load on the vehicle. These are all properties that benefit modern city buses and streetcars. But our “green boxes” also cut a fine figure in subways.
By the way, all members of the ROQSTAR family are blessed with the same good (i.e. compact) genes. The devices are available in two sizes, which makes network planning easier. Even if you haven’t finally decided on a switch, network planning can get underway and corresponding installation plans can be drawn up realistically.
Whether you want to equip new, environmentally friendly vehicles with a modern network or bring your old fleet up to the state of the art – rely on switches that have been specially designed for the needs of public transport!
