Whereas switches previously had to be configured individually in a very laborious manner, we have now developed an initial solution to reduce the configuration effort for companies and public transport operators.
As part of our innovation series around IP networks in public transport vehicles, we have been able to record a first optimization in the initial configuration of all ROQSTAR Gigabit switches. Whereas previously each switch had to be configured individually, this will be solved more easily from Release 2.2.0.
In a predefined network, all switches can configure each other. Each switch receives its individual settings directly from another switch within the same network. Regardless of the number of switches in the vehicle network, the configuration file only needs to be loaded onto one device. The distribution and assignment of the configurations are done automatically.
